Piazz’à u Filmu Cinema Festival
From September 17 to 20, 2026, Piazz’à u Filmu will bring Portivechju to life through cinema, music and visual arts, with screenings, masterclasses and meetings in the heart of the town.
Piazz’à u Filmu is Portivechju’s major festival dedicated to cinema, music and visual arts, taking place from September 17 to 20, 2026, at Piazza’llu Quartieri and in several iconic locations throughout the town.
Designed as a popular, high-quality and accessible event for everyone, the festival puts cinema at the heart of the city, bringing it closer to the public. Over four days, screenings, previews, masterclasses, literary meetings and concerts will create a dialogue between cinema, heritage, music and literature, in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Corsican cinematic heritage will be particularly celebrated, with screenings of films directly connected to Corsica. The programme will also feature several previews, including Un Jeu Dangereux by Karine Silla, the animated film Le Corset, Notre Salut by Alexandre Perrier, and Carmen l’oiseau rebelle, featuring the voice of Camélia Jordana.
Among the highlights will be a Masterclass with director Pierre Salvadori and Philippe Martin, founder of the production company Les Films de Pelléas, as well as the closing day on Sunday, September 20, featuring Fabrice Luchini, who will present the film Victor comme tout le monde, followed by a performance dedicated to a reading of Victor Hugo.
Piazz’à u Filmu will also open its doors to literature, with meetings featuring authors from Òmara publishing house, Diane Egault, Dominique Memmi and Marco Biancarelli.
Music will also take centre stage, with concerts by Camélia Jordana, Bande à Part, Diana Saliceti, Orlanne Or, So Swing and Joseph Mattera (DJ Set).
This first edition of Piazz’à u Filmu in Portivechju celebrates diversity and encounters between different artistic disciplines. A festival where culture becomes a space for sharing between the public, invited artists and industry professionals.
